Dr. Wendy Oakes

Dr. Wendy Oakes Wilhelm specializes in orthodontics and dentofacial orthopedics. Raised in Chattanooga, TN, she is an alumna of The Baylor School and later pursued her education at The University of Tennessee Knoxville, where she was a competitive member of the Lady Vols swim team. Graduating with a Bachelor’s degree in Biology in 1994, Dr. Oakes went on to attend dental school at The University of Tennessee Memphis. Following her initial year in Memphis, she transferred to Meharry Medical College School of Dentistry in Nashville, earning her Doctor of Dental Surgery in 1999. Post-dental school, Dr. Oakes continued her academic journey with a comprehensive three-year residency program in orthodontics at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.

I booked this appointment so easily online they were able to fit me in the next morning. They fixed the overnight retainer to push that tooth back into place and also helped with the retainer being too tight in my mouth. The staff and Doctor were so nice and relatable.
